Greek Gods and Greek Heroes by Percy Jackson

All you need to know about

PERCY JACKSON'S GREEK GODS AND GREEK HEROES

Author : Rick Riordan

Percy Jackson's Greek Gods

If you are a regular American demigod trying to stay alive everyday, and a publisher from New York approaches you and asks you to write a book/guide on Greek gods as you are supposed to be the expert, you can't exactly refuse. That's exactly what happened to Percy, and being the awesome and helpful demigod that he is, he agreed to write 'Percy Jackson's Greek Gods', an exclusive guide to Greek mythology, because Greek myths can be quite confusing and VERY weird.
So, 'Percy Jackson's Greek Gods' helps you understand how the world began (according to Greek myth), how the first Greek Primordial deities were created, and stories on each of the Olympian gods and goddesses.
If you are a Greek geek (hah!) and you feel like some details are missing, remember that this was written by a demigod with extreme Dyslexia and ADHD. Reading can be big deal to him. Besides, there are various versions, and it's not very clear which one is right.
Sooo, presenting 'Percy Jackson's Greek gods', by the one and only, Percy Jackson!!! (who was trying to be discreet, as the gods might not look favorably upon this, but he failed miserably.)

Percy Jackson's Greek Heroes

A year's supply of free pepperoni and an endless supply of blue jelly beans sounds tempting, doesn't it?
Which was the offer that compelled Percy to write a second book, this time about the tragic tales of the old school Greek heroes, who did NOT have happy endings.
'Percy Jackson's Greek Heroes' consists of twelve chapters, each chapter based on the story of medieval Greek heroes such as Perseus, Psyche and other demigods. Percy narrates the story of how Perseus killed Snake Lady™, of how Psyche spectacularly messed up and of how Heracles had a sucktastic life. Yay!
So every time you feel like your day is going seriously downhill, think about the disastrous lives of these heroes to feel better immediately!
Better brace yourself through these pages. Things are going to get messy.

My Comments

Percy Jackson's Greek Gods and Percy Jackson's Greek Heroes are excellent guides to Greek mythology, and you don't even need to be a Percy Jackson reader to read it. Greek mythology is confusing, and there are various versions of every story. These books offer the versions which are most probable and which make the most sense in Percy's distinctly sarcastic and humorous way of narration, which makes them extremely engrossing to read. Reading from Percy's perspective once again after the Percy Jackson series was highly enjoyable and invoked a faint sense of nostalgia (Evidently, I am a very sentimental person). All in all, the books are incredibly captivating for all readers and are very clear and appropriate for those wanting to know and get familiar with Greek mythology.
