The Heroes of Olympus series

All you need to know about

THE HEROES OF OLYMPUS

Author : Rick Riordan

The story takes off a few months after the events of The Last Olympian and is based on the second Great Prophecy. Percy Jackson is missing, and three days after his disappearance, Annabeth Chase gets a vision from the Goddess Hera that the answer was at the Grand Canyon, where she will find a boy with one shoe. Full of hopes that she might find Percy at last, Annabeth sets to the Grand Canyon, where she finds Jason, the boy with one shoe, Piper Mclean and Leo Valdez, three Greek demigods. (or were they all greek?)
Their protector, the satyr Gleeson Hedge was taken by wind spirits. A disappointed and EXTREMELY mad Annabeth escorts the three demigods to Camp Half-Blood, where the trio discover their godly parents and receive a quest to rescue Hera from danger.
As the threesome undertake a journey to free Hera from the Wolf House, they must also rescue Piper's father from the Giant Enceladus in Mount Diablo and their satyr protector, Coach Hedge.
As their quest comes to a conclusion, Leo must then build the Argo 2 and travel to California with the chosen Greek demigods to find the Roman camp. Then, they must start the quest of the seven demigods to stop Gaea from rising, once and for all.

My comments

The Heroes of Olympus series is just as awesome as the Percy Jackson series, if not better. The original series is mainly focused on Percy, but this series has a variety of protagonists, and the author gives us the backstory of each character in order for us to understand and get to know them better. There is great character development for each of the characters and the story is fast-paced, thrilling and unbelievably magical, filled with humor and adventure equally. I really enjoyed reading about all the characters and the book is narrated from the perspective of different characters so that we can understand the story better. The plot is action-packed and fun-filled,  making it a very interesting read.
