Eleven year old Harry Potter, orphaned and left at his aunt and uncle's doorstep when he was one, did not have a happy childhood. Constantly bullied by his aunt and uncle and cousin, young Harry did not think he was special until something, completely out of the blue, happens on his eleventh birthday. 
Harry Potter discovers that he is a wizard. 
As Harry is whisked off to Hogwarts, a school for magic where his deceased parents once studied, Harry realizes that he is, apparently, famous for killing a dark wizard who was once terribly feared.
As he finds his way in this new world in which he finally belongs, with the help of his new friends, Harry realizes that he may have to face an old enemy once again.
He must discover deadly secrets and face his fears, and in the end, armed with all he knows and the companionship of his trusty friends, he must fight to save the wizarding world from the clutches of dark magic, once and for all.

The seventh and the final book of Harry Potter, The Deathly Hallows, was released on 21st July 2007. Then, on 31 July 2016, a two-part play was written by JK Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, which takes place nineteen years after the events of Deathly Hallows. 
The book which was titled as ' The Cursed Child ' , was not adapted into a film, but was enacted by a different set of actors. The play opened on Broadway on 21 April 2018, and then was enacted at various places across. On 22nd May 2019, it was announced that the production would have its first Canadian Premiere in Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre. Due to the pandemic, its opening has been delayed until 2021.
Although the Cursed Child is not a novel, but an adaptation of a play, it has been announced by Rowling that this will be the final end of Harry Potter Series.








My Comments

The Harry Potter series was one of the first novels i ever read, and i started this amazing journey when i was an eight year old. Although, this series is considered a children's book, it is suitable for all ages above. The Harry Potter books are one of the most well known books throughout the world, because of its excellent plot line and character sketch. None of the characters in the books are perfect, but that is what makes them so realistic. The books are not just stories, but gateways to entire worlds of magic and mystique, and that is what makes them special.
